Office Hours:
9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Just call us at 407.898.8644 to arrange an appointment that is convenient for you. When we are away from our office, our phones will be forwarded to the answering service who will contact us.
We ask all of our new patients to obtain their records, tests, and X-rays (actual films) from their referring physician. It is very important that you bring this information with you on your first visit. We strive to see you at your scheduled appointment time. In the "real world" occasional unavoidable delays occur, and emergencies do arise.
If we learn that the doctor will be unable to make it to the office because of a surgical emergency, we will make every effort to contact you in a reasonable time so that we can reschedule your appointment. We work very hard to make this the exception, not the rule.
On the other hand, if you’re unable to keep your scheduled appointment, please let us know 24 hours in advance, or earlier, so that we can make that time available to someone else.
If you have an emergency, please call us as soon as you notice symptoms so that we can work you into the office schedule. If you wait until 5:00 p.m., it may be necessary for you to receive your initial evaluation and care in the emergency room.
Patient Information Sheet:
In order to expedite the appointment process, please download one of the following files and complete before your scheduled appointment. If you are not sure which one applies to you, please download the General Patient Health History Packet. If you know that your problem is spinal related, please download the Spine Disorder Patient Health History Packet.
After downloading either of the Health History Packets, please fill them out and do one of the following:
fax them to us at 407-898-8646
scan them and email back to us at info@ain.md
bring them with you to your appointment
Returning Phone Calls:
To allow the doctor and physician assistant to see patients on time and adhere to surgery scheduling, our staff handles all phone inquiries. Because you are our first priority, rest assured that your message will reach the doctor and his answer will be relayed back to you. Emergency calls will be forwarded to your doctor wherever he is, as quickly as possible. If you have questions concerning billing, our staff will handle your concerns directly when you call.
In an Emergency:
In a life-threatening situation, call 911 immediately or go to your nearest emergency room. If a non-life-threatening situation arises during regular office hours, call us at 407.898.8644 and explain the situation to our receptionist. If such a situation occurs after hours, call the same number and our answering service will reach the doctor for you as quickly as possible. We share emergency calls with other selected neurosurgeons in our community; the possibility exists that the doctor you hear from may not be the one who initially treated you.
Prescription and Refills:
Medical advice by telephone is not good medicine. We prefer to see your condition in person before prescribing for any new, persistent, or recurring problem. At that time we will provide you with a prescription of sufficient quantity to meet your needs as determined by your physician.
Prescriptions will be written and refills authorized during office hours only, as we must be able to reference your medical record.
Prescriptions will not be refilled on evenings or weekends. Please call at least 48 hours before your supply is exhausted.
